First,
the surface debris is removed from your teeth.
We then apply a protective coating to your gums and
the root surfaces of your teeth. Cotton
rolls are placed to protect your lips and your teeth
are prepared for the whitening gel. The
whitening gel is then placed and light activated.
The gel
is refreshed several times during the procedure and
after approximately one hour your teeth will be their
very whitest. We then apply a sodium fluoride
gel to make your newly whitened teeth more resistant
to re-staining.
While
your teeth are being whitened, we have video monitors
positioned above the dental chair so that you may
watch a movie or listen to music while the whitening
procedure is being performed.
