Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry is an excellent way to achieve a more attractive and youthful smile.  Beautiful smiles that reflect whiter and brighter well-proportioned teeth can enhance one's confidence and self-esteem.
White Fillings

The modern technology of natural color restorations offers an aesthetic alternative to the old dark fillings of yesteryear.

There are two alternatives available today.

Composite Fillings offer a stronger, natural looking and more wear-resistant alternative to silver and can be completed in just one short visit.

Porcelain and composite onlays require two visits.  Impressions are taken after the teeth are prepared, and temporary restorations are placed. On the second visit, a personalized color matched porcelain or composite onlay is bonded to the tooth.

Porcelain Veneers Veneers can take years off the appearance of your teeth, while correcting a variety of problems. They require a minimum of reduction of the natural tooth, (-generally not more than .5mm), they don't change color, have a life span of 15-20 years, and the entire process can be completed in two visits. They are an excellent solution to problems such as tetracycline stains and translucency factors, which simple tooth whitening procedures can not correct. They can often correct problems of tooth alignment that otherwise would be corrected by braces.

Bonding Tooth bonding is very aesthetic, but not as permanent as veneers.  This cosmetic dentistry technique is  highly effective in improving your smile.  Using materials that match the shade, translucency and texture of your teeth, gaps between the teeth can be closed, and spots, chips, and discolorations can be eliminated.

Tooth bonding is usually a one-visit procedure.  Bonding is not as costly or permanent as veneers, but can look natural and last for many years.

Crowns With the development of newer, more advanced porcelains, most crowns can be made to be indistinguishable from a real tooth. Modern crowns can and do look like beautiful real teeth.

You may need a crown if there is insufficient tooth structure left to allow for more conservative treatment, such as a veneer or onlay. Crowns can be virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

Cosmetic Contouring Cosmetic contouring is the process of re-shaping teeth.  It is a fairly simple procedure which does not require a local anesthetic. The edges of the upper and lower teeth are reshaped to create a more attractive smile.

This procedure takes just one visit and can produce remarkable results.  This treatment is recommended for treating unevenness and minor chips in the teeth.
